Iris
The ring of tissue between the cornea and the crystalline lens whose various pigmentation gives rise to its colour. Fair skinned people tend to have blue or green eyes while brown eyes and dark skin combine.
The central hole (pupil) varies in size dependant on the intensity of the light. However,the lighter the iris pigmentation generally the more light sensitive the eye.
